Some people are sliding rapidly, and some are rolling down… On December 19, the reporter came to Xinjiang, located in the Tianshan Mountains, with the theme of “Chasing Snowflakes to See Xinjiang”. The Silk Road International Ski Resort is covered with snow and crowded with people. From time to time, tourists fly down the mountain, creating a fiery scene in the ice and snow.

Li Jianhong, chairman of the Silk Road International Resort, introduced that the Silk Road Mountain Resort is the first 5S ski resort in Xinjiang to win the country’s highest star rating, and has been certified by the International Snow Federation, becoming my country’s first to host international events. It is a qualified ski resort and successfully held the alpine skiing competition of the National Winter Games in 2016. Currently, there are 12 ski trails in operation, covering an area of ​​1.7 million square meters.

“This winter, the Silk Road Ski Resort aims to receive over one million tourists. We invited the Olympic Games construction team to participate in the design and construction of the newly built terrain park in the resort, and designed slope obstacles and other terrain to allow ice and snow to pass. Enthusiasts enjoy more ice and snow fun,” said Li Jianhong.

It is particularly worth mentioning that the resort currently has nearly 600 employees, 70% of whom are from the surrounding Kazakh nomads. The village where it is located has become a demonstration area for new rural construction, which has greatly contributed to the prosperity of the surrounding herders.
